I created three speculative internal illustrations for Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie's short story, 'A Private Experience'. I designed the sequential images so that they focused in on the small-scale conflict and resolution between the two women. I wanted to celebrate personal connection formed by the two women, despite their religious conflicts in the narrative.
